Carpentry
Nick Miller and Scott Wilson (purple shirt) are the carpenters for the Markeen restoration. Most of the wood framing is in remarkable condition. However, there are portions of the building that will need significant work.
The projects architect Paul Koeppe (green jacket) confers with Nick and property owner Eddie Vanston.  Mr. Koeppe, former Chairman of the Forth Worth Landmark Commission, is a 3rd generation architect and has been involved with many of the areas historically important buildings.
This section of floor covers a portion of one apartments bathroom and the kitchen for the adjoining apartment. As you can see, it is badly deteriorated and is being completely rebuilt.
The existing back porches of all 14 apartments were not structurally sound. The brick columns have been taken down and will be rebuilt by reusing the old bricks.
